The release of fuel oil in Anapa
On the night of December 15-16, between the Black Sea and the Kerch Bay, two tankers of the same company transported a total of about ten thousand tons of fuel oil (petroleum product remaining after gasoline production). Due to a strong storm and their inability to cope with the sea, tankers (primarily river vessels) broke up right in open waters and viscous fuel oil began to flow out of them.
